Broker Profile: Faith Bracken Finds Adventure in Life and Insurance

June 25, 2020

Faith Bracken’s journey into insurance began like so many others: unexpectedly.

“I just sort of stumbled into the industry,” she says. “But, once I started, I fell in love with everything about it.”

Initially, she planned to become an archaeologist, but the allure of helping clients proved irresistible. That has turned into a career spanning almost 25 years.

As an Account Executive for Lovitt & Touché’s Employee Health & Benefits team, Faith works with a variety of clients across industries including healthcare and technology. She specializes in fully insured, self-funded and alternative funding benefits solutions. Her expertise extends to employee communication, education, data analytics and cost containment strategies.

Faith says she thrives on collaborating with clients to determine the best solutions to meet their needs.

“That’s really the best part of my job,” she says. “I love delving into the data and working with my clients to develop innovative strategies to meet their needs.”

Finding Home in Arizona

After a childhood full of moving from college town to college town, Faith put down roots in Tucson, where she has lived for more than 25 years.

“I love the small-town feel that Tucson has,” she says. “Even as large as it is, Tucson still has that sense of community that I always got from those college towns I lived in as a kid.”

Plus, she adds, you can’t beat the sunsets.

Adventure is Out There

Tucson may be home sweet home, but Faith also has an itch for travel — one she loves to scratch as often as she can.

“I want to see everything there is to see,” she says, adding that she does her best to instill that same love of travel in her kids. “The world is so large and diverse; I want my kids to experience as many different cultures and communities as possible.”

To that end, last year her family created “Adventure Time,” where at the spur of the moment, everyone will grab a change of clothes, hop in the car and drive with no destination in mind.

“We’ve found some great places around Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico that we would have never thought to explore,” Faith says.

Her family’s wanderlust ways led to a wide-ranging driving tour last summer spanning parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah.

Their tour included stops at the Catwalk Recreation Area in New Mexico, Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado, Arches National Park in Utah and Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona — along with some river rafting down the Colorado River.

“We saw some of the most amazing sights in the world,” she says. “We can’t wait for our next trip.”

It’s Faith’s adventurous spirit and openness to new experiences that fuels her creativity, curiosity and passion — not only on the road to unknown destinations but also on the job helping clients with new challenges to solve.
