With more than 30 years of experience, Senior Vice President Dennis Tsonis is the construction practice leader with Lovitt & Touché, overseeing a team of construction insurance experts who serve the insurance and risk management needs of contractors, A&Es, developers and suppliers.

Dennis has experience with numerous facets of construction risk management including roles as a premium auditor, underwriter, underwriting manager, OCIP administrator, broker and founding member of a construction group-captive insurance company. He is a frequent speaker on construction risk management and insurance issues, and has authored numerous articles on the topic. He is also a Charted Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Dennis is very active in numerous construction associations. He has been involved with the Valley of the Sun Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association for more than 20 years, serving as secretary, director and as chair of the program, membership, succession planning and scholarship committees. He was recognized in 2004 as the “Best Under the Sun” – Associate Member of the Year.

Dennis is a graduate of the Arizona Builders Alliance’s Leadership Development Forum and has served on the organization’s auction and legislative committees. Additionally, he served a 10-year term as a Director of the American Subcontractors Association – Arizona Chapter and was recognized as the 2010 - 2011 Outstanding Member of the Year.

Dennis enjoys spending his free time exploring the great outdoors with his wife and two children. He has been an active leader in local Boy Scout units and was a member of Fighter Country Partnership’s Blue Blazer Squadron, which supports the military personnel serving at Luke Air Force Base. He is also an award-winning homebrewer and nationally recognized beer judge.
